Whether you want a takeaway lunch, a bistro dinner or just a coffee, you are guarunteed of something that has been prepared with great pride and experience! We believe that good food isn't possible without good produce. We use only the finest produce and wherever possible it has been sourced from local farms. Scott Watkins-Sully has years of experience with food and hosts one of the longest running cooking segments on Australian Radio, broadcat nationally as part of ABC Local Radio's Coodabeen Champions. Many of the recipes that Scott has featured on the programme are featured on the Bistro menu. Years of travel and time spent living around the world have resulted in an arsenal of recipies from Wales, England, India, The Pacific Islands, East Africa, Southern Africa, South East Asia, The Greek Islands and many other regions. The Milk Bar is a celebration of the classic milk bars that once stood proudly on countless street corners throughout Australia. Milk Shakes, Spiders and our own old style sodas take customers back to a time when soft drinks were cool! Classic milk bar cuisine includes our own range of "Sully's Pies," Haute Dogs taske the humble dog into the realms of haute cuisine! Fresh cut sandwiches are as thick as doorstops and we celebrate the ethnic communities who pioneered Australia's milk bars with Maltese Pastizziz and Raviul, Greek Souvlaki and simple pizzas. We're open late from Thursday to Sunday for dinner when we are transformed into The Milk Bar Bistro. Check this FB page for the menu, which changes every night. The milk bar has been decorated with a strong 60's modernist influence with Danish designed original mid-century furniture and lots of sumptuous laminate. The atmosphere is further enhanced by a huge playlist of Mod classics, Northern Soul and early Jamaican Ska.
